About
I specialise in cataract surgery and the diagnosis and treatment of retinal conditions (conditions affecting the back of the eye). I provide both surgical and non-surgical eye care, including advanced cataract and retinal surgery, as well as medical treatments for a wide range of eye diseases.
My approach is patient-centred and personalised. I take time to explain diagnoses and treatment options clearly, helping you feel informed, reassured and supported throughout your care.
As a vitreoretinal specialist surgeon, I am particularly experienced in managing complex and challenging cataract and retinal cases. I offer private ophthalmology consultations in Edinburgh at Spire Shawfair, Vision Scotland and Nuffield Health, and welcome patients from across Scotland. My NHS practice is based at the Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion, Edinburgh.
I previously trained and worked for eight years at the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital in London and the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, where I undertook advanced surgical training in cataract and retinal disease.
